No apology necessary and feel free to fire away at the corporate giants. Frankly my mission with the wma conversion is not that "kosher", and if there is no easy solution I will refrain from getting greedy when it comes to being able to burn great legal live music from all our favorite sites. let's just say, hypothetically, that there was a fabulous streaming audio site out there that has some splendid music I would love to have on disc. I have appointed myself DJ and put together 4-5 links for my friends to listen to every Friday if they so choose. Usually a jazz show, blues show, Dead show and non Dead show. It started with putting up a TDIH show for all the deadheads in the group I mail to, but then the others felt shortchanged. As a result I have uncovered some killer shows from bands from the past or jazz and blues artists I have never spent much time listening to. Thats why I feel a bit greedy. There,I said it!I should probably be the apologizing. Thanks though!!

Hypothetically speaking, there is a program I mentioned in your original file splitting thread that lets you choose the format (for example wave or mp3) it saves as. Unfortunately the 'free' version is of no use (it inserts a "please purchase..." message throughout the recording.)The full version works terrific though. I have no experience with wma, but well relate to the greed factor. :)

Thanks vapors. To add insult to injury as they say I am both greedy and cheap so I will let the search rest and enjoy the hypothetical site the way it is intended to be used. On a different note I saw perhaps the best Dark Star Orchestra show I have ever seen last night. The "new" guitarist has really elevated his game playing with them every night and they just absolutely smoked the whole night.Sadly I bet they will have outperformed the "originals" when I see Furthur in a couple weeks.
